September 29th Release
On Tuesday, September 29th, we released a series of upgrades to the CoFormIt application.
What we added:
- Scheduled/recurring imports — an admin saves an import type + field mapping + daily/weekly/monthly cadence tied to a fixed upload location. Also can be re-run manually and includes failure/recovery email alerts. It's worth noting this feature will require some technical knowledge to implement and you will need to set up a routine process to upload the files, which is done using a pre-signed S3 PUT api call.
- Signature Phase 3: Remote signing requests — an admin can email a tokenized, expiring, single-use signing link to someone with no CoFormIt account. See "Remote Signing Requests" in the Review Workflows section of the admin help.
- Smart Group search: added
contains/does not containsubstring operators on text, dropdown, and radio custom attributes. - Cold storage retrieval for archived import source files. See "Cold Storage & File Retrieval" in the Importing Data section of the admin help.
- Custom user attributes — tenant-defined fields on the user record, usable in smart-group rules and import mapping
- Custom payload templates for outbound webhooks/API forwarding, instead of an outgoing API's POST body being the default form.io format you can map the output to your own format.
Things we should have had all along ;)
- Form.io renderer's own generated UI text (validation, buttons, upload prompts) was never localized — now routed through the app's translations
- Single-submission PDF export now uploads to S3 and returns a presigned download link instead of an inline payload, so large/image-heavy exports no longer hit size limits
